Part B – Question 1

“28 Hilarious Tweets From The Week That Had Me Laughing Way, Way, Wayyy Harder Than I Should Have Been”

This headline was made to connect with people who use Twitter (X), so a younger demographic (Gen Z and Millenials). The language used in it such as “Way, Way, Wayyy” resonates with the demographic. Along with that the article being about Twitter (X) might attract them to click on it because they know exactly what it is about, which is something they are interested in, and they will know that the language used is the one they use and will be easy to understand. It resonated with me for those exact reasons, I use Twitter specifically for funny tweets, and the language used is one I’m familiar with.

I consider it a good headline because it is straight to the point, which clearly tells the reader what they should expect when opening it. It contains the power word “Hilarious”, which will make people want to click on it because of FOMO since they want to know why the tweets had the writer laughing way, way, wayyy harder than she should’ve had. Another big factor that makes it a good headline is the use of numbers, since we are more likely to click on headlines that contain numbers than ones with just words. The numbers also tell the visitor how many funny tweets they can expect, which might increase the chances of them opening it. Also, it explicitly tells the reader that it is a recent article, so they might be more likely to open it because the content won’t be old funny tweets that everyone has seen before.
